Simply put, chicken katsu is a flattened piece of chicken that’s been fried, kind of like chicken tenders. This is the story of the best chicken katsu I’ve ever had…
While traveling from Onioshidashi Park, I stopped to eat at a small restaurant called Sumiya.
After browsing the menu, I decided on the chicken katsu, and THIS is what came out:
Do you SEEEEE that mound of chicken?! It was like six or seven pieces, stacked on top of a mound of salad! WAY too much, but it was the best katsu and miso soup I’ve ever had. The katsu was nice and crispy and made with good cuts of chicken. It was also served with spicy mustard and a dipping sauce; perfection!
Looks delicious!!! I could do with a bowl!!!!!!!
