御朱印第42と43号 — 眞田神社

DSC_0124

Goshuin numbers 42 and 43 are from the 眞田神社 (Sanada Shrine) . Located in the Ueda Castle Ruins Park, it is dedicated to the past rulers of the castle: the Sanada, Sengoku, and Matsudaira clans.

Here’s a popular photo spot. This helmet was said to have been worn by one of the Sanada clan’s leaders…

They also have the BEST stamps! I was almost finished with my first stamp book, so I went ahead and bought a new one from this shrine. It came with TWO stamps! I think the lady could tell I was excited, and she threw in a small, wooden bookmark for free!

Date acquired: March 29th, 2019
