This is easily one of my favorite things to eat in Shinanomachi. It was served at my welcome party, too, so it was also the first thing I ever ate in Shinanomachi.
Served at this wonderful restaurant, the miso katsu is the hunk of meat on the top right corner of the tray. Katsu in general is a fried piece of pork, but since this is miso katsu, the fried pork gets smothered in this wonderful miso sauce.
Also served with the miso katsu is a plate of rice, a small plate of pickles (above the rice), a salad, and a small bowl of miso soup. Absolutely delicious!
