Goshuin number 46 is from 生田神社 (Ikuta Shrine). This shrine is actually mentioned in the English textbooks used at my school, so it was a little odd to see it in person.
Come to find out, this shrine was built in the beginning of the third century, making it one of the oldest shrines in the country!
The enshrined deity, Wakahirume, is worshiped for her ability to bring people together. Many young couples visit this shrine in the hope that their relationship will have a happy ending.
Here’s the stamp!
