Found in konbini (convenience stores), restaurants, grocery stores, and at festivals, these skewers of chicken are a classic Japanese food. These yakitori are from an izakaya (Japanese bar) in Nagano City. There were large pieces of chicken and green onions on these skewers, and the meat was pleasantly sweet. It was served with spicy yellow mustard too! Definitely worth a taste if you’re in Japan!
