Goshuin numbers 24-28 are all from Togakushi! I’ve already been here multiple times, but this is the first time I’ve been to all FIVE shrines in the complex! If you’ve read my earlier posts about visits to the upper shrine, you know that I was under the impression there were only three shrines on Togakushi, the lower, middle, and upper. I was informed recently by a teacher that there are, in fact, five shrines, so of course I had to go.
The weather on the day I went adventuring was absolutely gorgeous, so I decided to walk to all the shrines. I parked at Kagami Lake before walking two kilometers down to the lower shrine.
- 宝光社 (Hōkō-sha/lower shrine)
2. 火之御子社 (Hinomiko-sha)
3. 中社 (Chū-sha/middle shrine)
4. 九頭龍社 (Kuzuryu-sha)
5. 奥社 (Oku-sha/upper shrine)
The whole loop took me about 3 hours, and it was totally worth it! I also got a small charm from the 奥社 because I went to all five shrines.
