御朱印第12号ー明治神宮

Goshuin number 12 is from 明治神宮 (Meiji Jingū), a very important shrine in Tokyo! Yes, a shrine… not a temple… Shrine stamp.

Anyway, not too much of an interesting story behind this stamp. I rode a highway bus from Nagano to Tokyo (because it is infinitely cheaper than the bullet train) to pick my fiance Hunter up from the airport. I got to Tokyo early, so I decided to go to Meiji Jingū because I’d heard it had a stamp. Lo and behold, even though I was early, I ended up practically running to get the stamp…. Because I still thought I’d be late to the airport. *Heavy sigh.* This is my life. Eternally running because I never want to be late. And the best part is that I arrived at the airport jusssst in time for Hunter’s plane to land. Which meant I still had to wait about an hour and a half for him to get off the plane, get his luggage, and get through customs and stuff.

I ended up taking Hunter there during the last part of his trip, and I got another stamp; there will be more about the amazing Meiji Jingū with the post about that stamp, since I was able to take my time. Kind of.
