Goshuin number 6 is from 宇賀神社 (Uga Shrine), which is located in the middle of Lake Nojiri!

Previously, I said that you can find goshuin at temples around Japan; however, lo and behold, they can be found at some shrines as well. I received this one during the welcome party for the new JETs in the north part of Nagano Prefecture; we took a cruise around the lake and stopped at the island (called Bentenjima) after having cake and coffee. The small island is beautiful, and you have to walk up lots of stairs to get to the shrine at the top. I had just gotten the stamp when I had to run back down the stairs to catch the boat before it left!
